- 5 tomatoes or 10 / 12 cherry tomatoes
- 9 slices of bread
- 4 garlic cloves
- 4-6 green basil leaves
- 50 ml olive oil preferably extra virgin

- Peel and wash the garlic thoroughly. After washing the tomatoes, cut them into small cubes with a side of about 1/2 cm.
- Cut the bread into slices of a suitable size. Use a toaster or oven to toast the bread. Toast it until it is golden brown and crispy. If you are using a toaster, be sure to set it to a medium setting. If you are using an oven, preheat it to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 5-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cut the clove of garlic in half. Rub the cut side of the garlic clove on the toasted slice of bread. Be sure to get the garlic into all the nooks and crannies of the bread.
