- 4 eggs
- 150 g cheese such as cheddar or emmental
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
Instructions
- Beat the eggs well with a fork or whisk until frothy, add a pinch of salt and a bit of pepper. It is not necessary to separate the egg white from the yolk.
- Heat a frying pan with a little oil (or butter for a nicer flavor), then pour the beaten frothy eggs.
- After one side of the omelette is cooked, flip it and grate the cheese over the top using a large grater. To make it more aesthetically pleasing, you can flip it onto a lid, essentially turning the pan upside down until the omelette falls onto the lid, then carefully place it back into the pan. Cover with a lid and let it cook over low heat for a few minutes (2-4 min.).
- Finally, you can add green onion leaves, fresh parsley, oregano, or other herbs you prefer.
