Hello, dear friends! Today, I want to share one of my favorite recipes when it comes to quick snacks – Pork Pâté Toasts. I’m trying to remember who passed this recipe down to me, but it seems like it came from my sister. My wife, who doesn’t usually eat much meat, was quite skeptical at first. One evening, while she was still at work, I prepared this mini-recipe and started taking pictures of the finished product. When she came home, I invited her to taste the toasts already made (the ones in the photos). She was curious about the reaction I’d get. Can you guess what happened? She couldn’t believe how good they were! She kept asking what I put in that creamy pâté mixture because it was so delicious. When I told her there wasn’t much to it, she almost didn’t believe me. It felt great knowing she enjoyed the toasts, especially since she’s not a big fan of meat.
These toasts go perfectly with toasted bread, whether you’re watching a movie at night or enjoying them for breakfast. Of course, they’re versatile and can be served with anything you like. I personally enjoy adding a bit of spicy mustard on top.
Since we’re on the topic of appetizers, I can’t help but share another delightful recipe with you – Chicken Breast Pasta. This dish is absolutely wonderful, and it has a unique twist that will leave your guests intrigued and guessing about its secret ingredients. Trust me, everyone will be asking for the recipe!
Let me show you just how easy and simple it is to prepare!
Pork Pate Toasts
Equipment
Ingredients
160 g pork pate or chicken / goose
40 g butter I used Irish butter, as it spreads better
20 g red onion
1/4 tsp ground black pepper to taste
1/4 tsp dried oregano optional
Instructions
- Let both the pâté and butter sit at room temperature to make mixing easier. This will make your work much easier.
- Finely chop the red onion as small as possible. In a bowl, combine the pâté and butter, stirring vigorously until everything is well blended. Add the chopped onion and freshly ground black pepper. Feel free to add any other spices you like. I added a pinch of dried oregano because it was right there on the counter, and I thought, why not?
- Spread the mixture on toasted bread, crackers, or any base you prefer.Enjoy your meal!
