The recipe for baked meatballs is, as you can imagine, very similar to the recipe for fried meatballs. Here, you’ll find a version made with pork and beef, and here’s a recipe for chicken meatballs. Of course, these baked meatballs can be considered a bit more diet-friendly since they’re not fried in oil. We really enjoy oven-baked recipes. For one, the flavor is different, more intense, and the aroma that fills the house is simply wonderful. Admittedly, when you’re really hungry, it can be hard to cook something in the oven…
But let’s prepare some delicious meatballs together!

Medium
Equipment

1 tray

1 kitchen knife

1 wooden spoon

1 garlic press
Ingredients
1/2 kg minced pork
1/2 kg minced beef
2 eggs
2 carrots
2 potatoes
2 onions
6 garlic cloves
1 bunch green parsley
1 bunch green dill
1 tsp salt to taste
1 tsp ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Mixture
- In a large bowl (something that makes mixing easier), combine the ground pork, ground beef, eggs, finely chopped onion, parsley, and dill. Start mixing with your hands until everything is well incorporated.
Add Vegetables
- Peel and wash the carrots and potatoes. Grate them finely and add them to the mixture. Crush the garlic cloves and add them as well. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything thoroughly with your hands until well blended.
Shape the Meatballs
- Using your hands, form medium-sized meatballs, around 1-2 cm (approximately 1 inch) in diameter. Place the meatballs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Bake
- Preheat the oven to a medium temperature (around 180°C or 350°F). Place the tray in the oven and bake the meatballs for about 30 minutes. If needed, rotate the tray halfway through to ensure they cook evenly.
Serve
- Once baked, remove the meatballs from the oven. Gently lift them from the parchment paper. These meatballs pair wonderfully with mayonnaise and onions, a rich tomato sauce (check out our fantastic recipe here), or even just on their own.Enjoy!
