I invite you to join me today in making a dish that is both extremely delicious and healthy using trout (gutted), garlic, and carrots.
Baked trout with vegetables
This recipe involves stuffing trout with seasoned vegetables, then baking it in a buttered dish at a low temperature. Toward the end, white wine is added to enhance the flavor, and the fish is cooked until tender and golden. The result is a delicious and healthy dish that's full of flavor.
Easy
Equipment
1 tray
Ingredients
- 4 trout
- 1 glass white wine
- 4 garlic cloves
- 3 carrots
- 25 g butter to grease the tray
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil optional
Instructions
- With the blade of a knife, carefully remove all the scales from the fish while holding it under running water. Once the fish is fully descaled, give it a thorough rinse to ensure it is completely clean and ready for cooking.
- Peel the vegetables (garlic and carrots), then wash them thoroughly before cutting them into small cubes. Once the vegetables are prepared, they will be ready to add to your dish.
- Mix the chopped vegetables with salt and ground black pepper until they are well seasoned. You can also add a teaspoon of olive oil to enhance the flavor and texture.
- Grease a baking tray (one with a lid) with butter, then place the fish inside, belly up. Before placing the fish in the dish, sprinkle a little salt and pepper over them for added flavor.
- Stuff the trout with the chopped vegetables, cover the dish with the lid, and place it in the oven at a low temperature for about 60 minutes. Toward the end of cooking, add the white wine and let it cook for an additional 30 minutes. If you'd like the fish to be more golden and crisp, you can remove the lid toward the end. Enjoy your meal!
